I really like the retro 'flap-style' design, but beyond that this bag is VERY much about organization and comfort. The shoulder strap is padded and comfortable. I'm able to run at a full sprint without any discomfort while carrying this bag. Lastly, each of the seven compartments has a specific function which I use with great efficiency. I have a place for my scientific journals, and another for storage media, for instance. This is a really great bag and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

My nephews first job required him to ride the subway for over a hour, taking 3 different trains. He was concerned he would have trouble getting around with his items so I got him this bag. He says it makes traveling so much easier.

The Manhattan Portage - Commuter Bag is in my opinion a better choice than the smaller slim type by Manhattan, the main compartment is soft and padded - offering enough protection from knocks and general use. The front pockets are quite handy for your other gadgets. The back pack feature is great for travelling over distances or public transport - looks cool and is a bargain price.

The Manhattan Portage Commuter Bag is the best budget laptop bag, it looks cool and does the job, ideal for a student traveller, probably mid' to late teens. The shoulder straps are padded enough for a comfortable trip. The material is good and the bags crafted well - good price and worth it.
