My girlfriend has a rotator cuff injury to her shoulder. Bottom line is she needed something to help protect her shoulder. That is where this product came into place. The Manhattan Portage-Shoulder Pad brings comfort and less strain to your shoulder.

If you have a bag that doesn't have shoulder pads, then I'd recommend getting one. This brings comfort and less strain when carrying backpacks or messenger bags that don't provide pads. I bought about five of these.

The Manhattan Portage Shoulder Pad is a nice idea for the long trips on foot and will save you the aches and pains from long distance treks. The padding is made to stay firm and wont shrink or compress from over usage. Good for the cheaper bags that don't offer the support or padding that the more expensive bags offer. An essential purchase for your teen or for yourself - very handy addition to your collection.

I felt the difference a few minutes after I used it on my heavy shoulder bag. It really eases the strain on your shoulders after a while. This is perfect for carrying luggage, especially if I have to sprint while I'm at it, since I'm usually late in catching my flights.
